Larnaca is an attractive coastal town which is located in the south part of Cyprus. It has undoubtedly beautiful sandy beaches and a range of water sports facilities and interesting cultural sites.  Larnaca is one of the towns in Cyprus having its own Marina area which is surrounded by boats and ships.  


Tourists, have the opportunity to visit the area of Finikoudes which is one of the most beautiful places in Larnaca.  The area of Finikoudes is located near to the sea and thus it is known as a lively sea-front avenue surrounded by tropical palm trees. Further, the area of Finikoudes has many bars, restaurants which serve different kind of food for all national people and a lot of cafeterias. 


Beyond the above, it is worthy of note that tourist who love the sun will appreciate the comfortable sun loungers by the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The Mackenzi beach is treated as one of the most favourite beaches in Larnaca as it is a place for relaxing. The water in Mackenzi beach is extremely blue and very calm and tourists who love the sea can walk in the sea for almost 50 metres and still only be waist deep in water.  


Moreover, tourists can visit the historic buildings that Larnaca has such as the Castle which is located on the southern coast of Cyprus, they can visit the, the 9th-century Church of Saint Lazarus and the impressive Catacomb of Phaneromeni Church. The Muslim Mosque of Hala Sultan Tekke is next to Larnaca Salt Lake, a place of unparalleled beauty and home to pink flamingos.


Tourists can also visit the Greek Orthodox Stavrovouni Monastery which contains a piece of the Holy Cross. Further, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Choirokoitia, is a Neolithic settlement and one of the most significant ancient sites in Cyprus.
